2014 Workshops

In 2014 BioMed Central China invited senior editors from London visiting 9 cities in China, giving 40 author workshops with the topic on scientific writing in 21 key universities, 8 research institutes and 8 hospitals. Editors shared in-depth experience of scientific publishing and covered all aspects researchers concern, including peer review, journal selection, submitting process, research and publication ethics.  They aimed at helping Chinese researchers improve scientific writing skills and building tight connection with Chinese research community.

Workshops in Chengdu

November 17th -20th, Louisa Flintoft, Editor-in-Chief of Genome Biology, visited Chengdu Institute of Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Southwest Jiao Tong University, West China School of Medicine, Sichuan University and University of Electronic Science and technology to give talks on "How to Get Research Published".

Oct 22nd -24th, Sabina Alam, Editor-in-Chief of BMC Medicine, visited Medical College of Nanjing University, Jiangsu Province Hospital, Jinling Hospital and Medical College of Southeast University to give talks on "How to Get Research Published".

October 22nd -24th, Stephanie Harrian, Deputy Medical Editor from BioMed Central visited East Normal University, The First Affiliated Hospital of Medical College of Zhejiang University, Medical College of Zhejiang University and Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine to give talks on "How to Get Research Published".

June 16th – 19th, Ben Johnson, Associate Publisher from BioMed Central  visited Public Health Clinic Center of Fudan University, Second Military Medical University, Institute of zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Academy of Military Medical Sciences and Fuwai Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences to give talks on "How to Get Research Published".
