IDP news v4The journal Infectious Diseases of Poverty (IDP) has received its first impact factor of 4.11, which ranks 17 out of 78 journals in the category Infectious Disease in the 2014 Journal Citation Reports published by Thomson Reuters (ISI).  

 IDP was developed as an open access journal in response to WHO TDR’s Global report on research for infectious diseases of poverty. It is committed to publishing high-quality research that addresses essential public health questions about infectious diseases affecting the most disadvantaged parts of the world.

 Since its launch in 2012, IDP has built a large and dedicated following. It has received submissions from over 50 countries, with a high proportion of the research emanating from the countries affected by the issues it covers.
